2022 Fall Tournament a Success!

Thanks to the generosity of our players and donors, Tennis Nashville’s Second Annual Hillwood Fundraiser Tournament was an outstanding success! Tennis Nashville raised $1,750.00 for the Hillwood High School tennis programs. Participation was very strong this year across all of the divisions, with there being total of approximately sixty players overall. The fun, yet competitive, format of the tournament allowed each doubles team to play at least three matches over the course of the day.

Registration Now Open for 2022 Combo Doubles Tournament for Hillwood

Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Combo Doubles Hillwood High School Fundraiser! This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Proceeds benefit Tennis Nashville and the Hillwood High School Tennis Program. Last year’s tournament raised over $2,000.00. With your help, we are eager to build upon this success. There are three divisions that are solely based on skill level: Advanced (4.0-4.5); Intermediate (3.5); and Novice (2.5-3.0). Each doubles team will play at least three matches.

Tennis Nashville New Board of Directors Members

It is a great pleasure to announce to you that Tennis Nashville has elected a new board of directors. Six new members have been added.

The tennis community in Nashville and Middle Tennessee has seen great growth in numbers, enthusiasm, and programs over the last two years.  The new members of the Tennis Nashville Board of Directors bring a wide variety of experience to the organization, and we look forward to enthusiastic involvement with the tennis community.

The new board was installed and officers were elected on Sunday, November 7.

Tennis Nashville is a Community Tennis Association (CTA)

“USTA Community Tennis Associations (CTAs) are not-for-profit, volunteer-based organizations, supporting programs that grow the game of tennis. They are in cities and towns across the country and are great entry points if you’re looking to get started in the game, to play more often, or to give back to our lifetime sport.

Tennis Court Banners

Tennis Nashville, USTA-Community Tennis Association and Metro Parks are working together to promote and grow tennis in the community. Tennis Nashville created banners for select courts in our community. The intention is to show that we are working together for you! Let us know if you would like a banner on your home court!

2020 Annual Tennis Social and Awards Presentation

On Sunday, March 8, Tennis Nashville hosted the 2020 Annual Social and Award Presentation. It was a great celebration of community tennis.  Honorary chairmen for the evening were the legendary Bill Tym, and last year’s award recipient, Peter VanLingen.

Recipients of the 2020 Award of Excellence are Diane Dioguardi and Rick Neumann.

Kim Wilson, of USTA-TN, presented the award to Diane, who founded NALTA in 1982, and grew it to over 2,000 players today.
