St. Cecilia Academy hosted the first annual Catholic High School USTA Team Challenge Mixer on April 5, 2019. There were 43 High School Team players from Father Ryan High School, Pope John Paul II and St. Cecilia Academy. The teams were coached by Bob Blankenship, Katie Sheperd, Danny Castro, David Donlon and Helen Neuhoff.
The players really had a good time interacting with fellow Catholic High School teams.
Overbrook and St. Cecilia are the home courts for Nashville Catholic Tennis League. Every Diocesan parochial middle school is invited to join in the competition. The league is using the USTA TEAM CHALLENGE format. The trophy will go to the school winning the most points in both Fall and Spring leagues. Coaches from Pope John Paul II, Father Ryan High School and St. Cecilia are making this a fun event for everyone involved!
