On Saturday, July 30, 2016, we put together the 3rd Annual SPUD (Special Populations Unified Doubles) Tennis Tournament. This tournament teams up special needs players with able bodied players to give them a fun, positive and rewarding experience. The Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro was the venue (fantastic facility!) and the tournament was super fun for all of us. The tournament will be held again in 2017. If you know of any physically active special needs persons who might be interested in participating, there are some opportunities for tennis play. Please contact Tennis Nashville or visit http://spud-nashville.com if you want more info.
Thanks to everyone who came out to participate, partner, and support the 2016 SPUD tournament! A handful of photos from the event have now been posted for your enjoyment with many more to be added in the coming days. The additional photos were professionally taken by Lauren Powell.
