Play Status: Terrance Quattlebaum-Hadley Park Tennis

"We have received good reviews, but most of our patrons were waiting for doubles to open," says Quattlebaum.

1. What has been the response from your members since tennis has returned to the court?

Now that doubles have opened up, we are starting to get more court bookings. So if you have any future days you want to reserve, call now! 

2. Do you have unique programs designed for this season?

"The response has been great!," says Castro.

1. What has been the response from your members since tennis has returned to the court?

Members have been very supportive since the reopening. Everyone missed the game during the shutdown and was ready to get back on the court.

2. Do you have unique programs designed for this season?

No special programs at this point, but there has been an increase in demand for private lessons.

Play Status: Jim Monk- Maryland Farms Tennis

Since the overall consensus has been cautious, the return to play at the Maryland Farms courts has been slow. Here's what Jim Monk has to say:

1. What has been the response from your members since tennis has returned to the court?

Membership response has been positive, but cautious. Many players still choosing to stay away.

2. Do you have unique programs designed for this season?

No unique programs, just trying to restart existing programming.

Play Status: Dustin Overbeek- Richland CC

Did you know that tennis is one of the safest sports to play during this pandemic? "I highly encourage people to find opportunities to play safely," says Overbeek.

1. What has been the response from your members since tennis has returned to the court?

Very good! Our numbers are up about 20% year over year. We reopened our indoor facilities on May 26th. We averaged 72 players per day from May 26 - June 15 in 2019. During that same time frame in 2020 we averaged 92 players.

2. Do you have unique programs designed for this season?

Play Status: Dillon Hoyt- Centennial Sportsplex

With the recommended safety protocols set in place, players are beginning to return to Centennial Sportplex for tennis. Here's what Dillon Hoyt has to say about the game's return.

1. What has been the response from your members since tennis has returned to the court?

Response has been positive. Players are happy to be back playing doubles!

2. Do you have unique programs designed for this season?

Area leagues are coming back, specially designed with City, USTA and CDC recommended safety protocols.

Play Status: Brannon Jones- Memorial Park Tennis Complex, Hendersonville

Brannon Jones with Memorial Park Tennis Complex gives Tennis Nashville the update on tennis play returning to their courts.

1. What has been the response from your members since tennis has returned to the court?

We do not have members as we are a public Parks & Rec operation. In a bit, everyone is wanting to play tennis in Hendersonville during our peak hours (8am-1pm & 6-10pm)

2. Do you have unique programs designed for this season?

Play Status: Andy Veal- Bentwood Swim & Tennis Club/Wildwood Tennis

When it comes to returning to play on the courts, the folks at Brentwood Swim & Tennis Club have never stopped playing. With a few modifications to how the game is played, they are eager to see players on the courts again.

1. What has been the response from your members since tennis has returned to the court?

We never stopped playing, but separated courts, taught only private lessons, closed all gathering areas, took out the water jugs, sanitized often, etc.
