Remembering Deborah Love Armour

Deb was a tennis icon in Nashville, captaining 24 or more teams, each year for the last 7 years. She took multiple teams to state and regional competitions, as well as taking the 55+ team to Nationals.

Deb was the face of tennis for so many of us: she brought us together not only to form a team, but also gave us a sense of community, family, and provided us the avenue to make lifelong friendships.

Ted Rhodes and Hadley Park Community Cleanup

On Sunday, October 25, 2020, Real Love Tennis held a Community Day to show some real loveto the tennis courts. Joined by players and fans of the sport, Real Love Tennis cleaned up Ted Rhodes Courts and Hadley Park Tennis Center. Both were in good shape, but everyone was happy to do some clean up efforts on these courts we love to visit and play. Additionally, owner David Wyley Long held a Best of the Court competition, where singles players battled in a fast exciting tie break series. 10 players battled, and Dionno M.

Tennis Tradition in Springfield, TN

The 23rd annual Highsmith Memorial Tennis Tournament, which benefits the Springfield High School Tennis Team, took place in September in Springfield at the six court Curtis Holland Tennis Complex. Coach Curtis Holland hosted the 3-day tournament. The annual tournament is played each year in memory of Diane and Charles Highsmith, whose support for the Springfield Tennis Community will always be remembered. The tournament provided events for every level.
