General Information
- The tournament format is a "doubles team tennis" round robin. Men's, women's and mixed doubles teams play in a round robin with modified scoring where every game won helps their overall "divisional teams" standing. Divisional teams consist of up to 8 players (3-4 doubles teams) and are matched based on NTRP ability levels.
- Players and Doubles Teams: You can register to play in the MCTI event with or without a doubles partner. If you do not have a doubles partner then we will work to find someone of a similar ability for you. Doubles teams are arranged on "divisional teams" once again based on ability levels and needs. The goal is to make the overall divisional teams and experience fun for everyone.
- MCTI Tennis Pro-Am: Join us for a great opportunity to play tennis with a local tennis professional and support a fantastic local charity while being a part of the Music City Tennis Invitational. Here is how it works... Recreational players of any and all ability levels register to play and will be partnered up with a local tennis professional. Teams will play in a round robin format from 1:00-5:00pm at the Vanderbilt University Tennis Center on Friday, April 17th, 2020, using modified scoring. Each player receives a special gift for participating and winners in each division will receive awards. Space is very limited to only 24 amateur players.
- (Corporate Sponsorship packages automatically include players in the Two Day Tournament)
- TWO DAY Tournament: The two day event will continue as usual with players and teams being matched according to ability levels and will continue to use a round robin doubles format. Play will run from 8:00-4:00 on Saturday and 9:00-2:00 on Sunday.
