“To err is human, to blame it on someone else is doubles” – anonymous internet quote. This past spring, from April 15th to May 27th, Tennis Nashville and USTA-TN paired up to bring “Thursdays at Centennial” to area tennis lovers. The league consisted of three divisions, 2.5/3.0, 3.5, and 4.0/4.5 and brought together fifty of Nashville’s most awesome players for five weeks of play.

Although Bill Riddle has coached Team Southern more than ten times over the last 25 years, this was the first year ever for Team Southern to get two teams in the event. The field consists of 16 teams invited from around the USA.
The Southern Combo Doubles league features men's and women's teams playing 3 doubles matches. The doubles teams use a combined NTRP rating that does not exceed the level on which they are playing. The unique format is what makes the COMBO DOUBLES league so fun! It also offers the chance to play with different people and to make new friends.
