The Nashville Catholic Tennis League (NCT) is a program supported by the Diocesan Athletic Council, USTA-TN and Tennis Nashville. It was designed:
- As an introduction to Tennis for students in parochial schools in grades K-8.
- A way for those already familiar with the sport to improve.
- A means to promote tennis, which is a lifetime sport, with many social and health benefits.
- A method of preparing young players for high school tennis.
The Nashville Catholic Tennis League (NCT) is comprised of students and members from Christ the King, Holy Rosary, Overbrook, St Ann, St. Bernard, St Edward, St. Henry, St. John Vianney, St. Joseph, St. Matthew, St. Pius and St. Rose Lima in grades K-8. Formed as an introduction to Tennis for students in parochial schools, grades K-8. The NCT coaches see this as a positive way for those already familiar with the sport, to compete at the Middle School Level in preparation for High School competition.
K-4 grade players meet for instruction and games, before the 5-8 grade players engage in match play.
