This 10 and Under workshop trains you in the latest and scientifically backed ways to work with young kids to get them learning the sport in a fun and fulfilling environment.
The PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) is an international coaches education organisation, to join and go through their certification process is a huge step towards furthering your career as a Tennis coach. The research that backs up all their guidelines is fascinating, and really strengthens your voice as a coach.
Joining the PTR really feels like joining a family, as the seasoned experts are excellent mentors to the newer coaches. Some of my most wonderful experiences in the Tennis coaching world have come through being a member of this organisation!
We will cover the following:
- Communication and organisation skills for the coach
- Structure and content of Tennis Lessons
- Skills and Games for 10U players
- Serve, Rally and Score as quickly as possible
- Appropriate competition for different ages
- Information for working positively with parents
The workshop will be held at West Meade Racquet & Swim, 800 Davidson Rd, Nashville, TN 37205 on 11/3/2018 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and 11/4 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, 10/24/2018.
