Coach Joe Goldthreate to be Inducted into Black Tennis Hall of Fame

Tennis Nashville is pleased to congratulate Coach Joe Goldthreate on his upcoming induction into the Black Tennis Hall of Fame Class of 2020. The ceremony will be held July 3-4, 2020 at the Sportsmen's Tennis & Enrichment Center, Dorchester, Massachusetts.

The Black Tennis Hall of Fame is a non-profit, privately funded organization dedicated to preserving the history of African American tennis and honoring those who have made exemplary contributions to the sport, with special consideration extended to those who overcame racial barriers.

The 2020 Music City Tennis Invitational to be held April 17-19

The Music City Tennis Invitational is a fundraising event for the T.J. Martell Foundation to help fund vital cancer research programs at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. The T.J. Martell Foundation is the music industry’s leading foundation that funds innovative medical research focused on finding treatments and cures for cancer. It was founded in 1975 by music industry executive Tony Martell and his colleagues in loving memory of his son T.J., who died of leukemia. It has provided more than $280 million for research at seven flagship hospitals in the United States.

S.P.U.D. Tournament Wins the USPTA Event of the Year!

We're proud to announce that 4th annual S.P.U.D. Tournament (Special Populations Unified Doubles), sponsored by Tennis Nashville, has won the USPTA event of the year!

This event is one of a growing number of “tournaments” providing additional opportunities for athletes with Special Needs to participate in competitive tennis with an able-bodies partner. Each event is ready to accommodate players of varying abilities utilizing Red(36), Orange(60’) and primarily Green Dot(78’)
